Continuing on the training on the making of reusable sanitary pads, the Gambia Teachers’ Union, has organized a training for girls in Armitage Senior Secondary School in Janjanbureh.
The training funded by the #SteveSinnottFoundation is meant to empower the girls in the making of reusable pads. This is expected to address girls’ access to pads during their periods.
Armitage Senior located in Janjanbureh is among the few boarding schools in the country. The school accommodates students in hostels, this includes girls. Access to pads is usually a challenge for the girls. With this training, the girls would be able to make pads for easy access.
