The Gambia Teachers’ Union has began a three day training for 40 young school administrators in the Central River Region.
The training being held at the Regional Education Directorate Five-South is funded by the Canadian Teacher Federation-CTF/FCE.
The training dubbed Summer Professional Development Workshop for Young Head Teachers is aimed at capacitating the school administrators in relevant areas to ensure effective and efficient execution of their managerial roles.
Day one of the training exposed participants to: Roles and Responsibilities of School Managers, Strategies to Improve Students Performance and Ethics and Professionalism.
