GTU CONDUCTS TRAINING FOR MOTHER CLUBS

As part of implementing activities to encourage the making and usage of reusable sanitary pads, the Gambia Teachers Union conducted training on the making of reusable sanitary pads for Mother Clubs in Batakunko and Marakisa in the West Coast Region.

Mother Clubs members

The training funded by the Steve Sinnott Foundation is meant to enhance the knowledge of participants on the making of the pads.

Participants from Guinea Bissau

In a similar vein, a three-day training on the making of reusable pads and Gender Based Violence was conducted for teachers in the Teacher College of Guinea Bissau. This is in fulfillment of the GTU’s leadership commitment as head of Zone 2 of the EI Africa.
