The  Gambia Teachers\u2019 Union-GTU is on a three-day Summer Professional Development Training for Forty young teacher leaders is at the Regional Education Directorate 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training underway in the Upper River Region from the 21st<\/sup>-23rd<\/sup> July 2022 is  through support from the Canadian Teacher Federation-CTF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her opening statement, the General Secretary of The Gambia Teachers\u2019 Union, Marie Antoinette Corr, renewed the GTU\u2019s commitment to providing training that will impact the life of the members. She encouraged participants to make the best use of the training session while hailing the partnership the union enjoys with the CTF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the three-days training, participant will be trained on leadership, communication skills,  Gender equality, occupational health and safety, trade union education, gender-based violence, climate change, school development and planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
