The Gambia Teachers Union through support from the Steve Sinnott Foundation recently donated bicycles to needy students in rural Gambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The donation is part of the Union’s commitment to the children education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Handing over the donated bicycles to the beneficiaries on behalf the Union, Deputy General Secretary Essa Sowe outlined the numerous mechanism the Union used to award the bicycles to the beneficiaries, this he said includes the distance students travel to school. He urged the beneficiaries to make best use of the bicycles while thanking the donor, Steve Sinnott for the intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the different schools of the beneficiaries, the beneficiaries expressed delight over the donation. they thanked the union and the donor for the lifetime support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
